Ministries
Below are some of the ministries of New Life Baptist Church. Come and be blessed by them and get involved in ministering in them!
Teens
We have a thriving teen ministry with regular activities and special events throughout the year. Through Teen Sunday School on Sunday mornings, Teens for Christ on Wednesday evenings, and other ministries and fun outings, teens grow in their love for the Lord, build Christian friendships, and learn to serve others.

Children's Ministry
God wants even the little children to come to Him, so we use many ways to reach them and teach them. On Sunday mornings we offer Junior Church and Children’s Church, and on Wednesday evenings we have Kings Kids. Through Bible teaching and fun activities, we work to help children learn and grow in God’s truth.

Bus Ministry
The Bus Ministry at NLBC is an outreach ministry that provides more than simply transportation to church. Our faithful bus workers have a genuine compassion for the riders and are committed to the spiritual well-being of our riders and their families.

Sunday School
Learning God’s Word is essential if we are to serve the Lord effectively. For that reason, we offer Sunday School classes for every age group, where caring teachers present Biblical truth in a way that fits the needs and understanding of each class.

Music Ministry
Music is an important part of worshiping the Lord. We believe music is not meant to please people, but to honor and please God.

Through special music, choir, orchestra, and congregational singing, we seek to offer music that is pleasing to Him.

Joy Club
The Joy Club is a ministry for teens and adults with special needs related to intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through monthly fellowships, they enjoy time together to play, learn, and—most importantly—magnify the Lord Jesus Christ through their lives.

Central Alabama School of the Bible
The Central Alabama School of the Bible is a Bible training program designed to help believers grow in their understanding of Scripture and be better equipped for ministry in the local church. It is especially helpful for church members and workers—deacons, Sunday School teachers, youth and children’s workers, Bible study leaders, and anyone who wants to deepen their Bible knowledge and be more effective in serving the Lord.

When: Monday evenings, 6:30–9:00 PM (during the school year)
Cost: $20 per course, per semester

For more details, please view this brochure.

Drive Thru Christmas
Drive-Thru Christmas is our free annual event each December, featuring live scenes that portray key moments from the life of Jesus.

As you ride through multiple scenes, actors will depict events from His birth, life, trial, and—most importantly—His resurrection. A narrator will guide you between scenes.

Instead of simply being told the reason for Christmas, you’ll see it portrayed before your eyes. We strive to keep each scene as close to the Biblical account as possible.

Please look at this brochure for more information.

SALT Ministry
We believe in caring for people both physically and spiritually. Often, meeting a practical need opens the door to minister to someone spiritually too. That’s the purpose of our SALT ministry (Serving Others Together).

When: Wednesdays, 10:00–11:00 AM
Who: Residents in need living in zip codes 35120 or 35112
How it works: Pull into the car line and either complete a short form (first-time guests) or sign in (returning guests). Our friendly volunteers will load your vehicle with food that has been provided to us.

Senior Saints
The Senior Saints are an active part of New Life Baptist. Along with our Sunday School class, we enjoy a monthly activity where we can spend time together in Christian fellowship. Whether it’s a picnic, lunch at a local restaurant, a museum outing, or a visit to a nearby attraction, we always have a great time.
